The project is led by Director Prof Gwilym Pryce (University of Sheffield) and Co-Directors Dr Aneta Piekut (University of Sheffield), Prof Liv Osland (Western Norway University of Applied Sciences), and Prof Urban Lindgren (Umea University). 

Co-investigators include Dr Andrew Bell, Dr Meng Le Zhang and Prof Aarti Iyer from the University of Sheffield, Prof David Manley (University of Bristol) and Dr Nema Dean (University of Glasgow), Dr Inge Thorsen and Dr Arnstein Gjestland (Western Norway University of Applied Sciences).

This website draws together research on social frontiers and related issues. The research is drawn mainly from the Life at the Frontier project which is funded by the ESRC and Nordforsk, but also includes relevant research from other projects, particularly the ESRC Understanding Inequalities project.
